How do you begin to describe a place that truly epitomises Mother Nature and all that she has to offer? It is a place that left me bereft of words, unable to settle on the necessary superlatives to describe it in the moment. It was more of a feeling - a quiet but powerful appreciation for just how beautiful a place the world can be.
In terms of sheer scale, Canada is unmatched for us. I was swallowed up by the incredible scale of nature, smiling in the face of her exquisite beauty. From the warmth of a log cabin in a Whistler winter, to the largesse of Lake Louise, Canada is a land of plenty. Pristine nature abounds in what is a wilderness lovers delight.
Canada started out as a dream for me. Over dinner at a back alley restaurant in Queenstown a year prior, a small group of adventurers decided to explore the scenic charms of Canada's countryside. Travelling with my housemate Brendan and our good friend Lydia, we arrived expecting grand, epic scale scenery and got exactly what we were searching for. We left with a heartfelt appreciation for the best that Mother Nature has to offer. Canada is EPIC, Canada is GRAND, Canada is BEAUTIFUL. Canada felt like a place to call home, for three stray dogs like us seeking adventure and wonder in the great outdoors!
